"Hi, baby."
"Yip!" (unusual, he rarely barks?)
"What puppy?"
"YIP!"
"What...?"
And that is when it happened -- he leaped across the couch, over the sleeping Ta-shi, onto my lap and off again, dragging with him my stole, which was in the middle of a row! Oh, the carnage!
I now have this

and will try to determine where in the chart this has dropped to, and re-knit just this section. It only looks to be about 3 or 4 rows, so wish me lick. (And Murphy, you can feel free to move on now. Your job is done here.)
Now for true confession time. I have been lamenting the state of my house for some time. It is embarrassing. Horrifying. And, quite frankly, debilitating. THIS is my "work area" more commonly known as a dining room.

I have kinda outgrown the space, don't you think? So I am working on this...

Wet sanded the plaster yesterday, will prime and paint today, then lay the peel and stick floor. Hubby will be finishing the electrics and then put up the accoustic tile ceiling. (Normally, not my first choice, but they are cheap and quick, and it is only a workroom.) Lilah will reside in the far left corner (where all the junk is right now); the oil tank will be blocked by a room divider. This wall,

will be lined w/ shelves;
this will be the sewing area

a long counter will line the left hand wall and in the center will be a long thin island.

My kids are already in monster-mode and it is only 8:30. Not sure how well that bodes for getting work done today. Hmmm...maybe I'll put them to work! Wish me luck!

I think painting is JUST the thing for children in "monster mode". Almost better than making mud pies! That work room sounds like it will be fantastic. Excellent plan.
Good luck recovering the lace. =-D
Yes, I'd say you've outgrown the dining room! The basement workroom looks like it'll be just wonderful!
I don't know how you get anything done with kids around; I have a hard enough time without any kids around :)
When I saw your "dining room" I thought I was looking at my own. it was deja vu.
My sympathy for the injury to your MS3 knitting. I could envision it happening to me; I can't sit and knit without a whippet and a cat "helping" me.
Good vibes being sent your way for the fix.
I am sorry for the damage the sweet puppy did. It is a good thing that they are so cute!
I would to have a basement room in the works. Alas, I have but one bathroom and no basement.
ACK! I feel for you with the lace... I did a lifeline on my dishcloth that I made the other day. I kept losing track of my rows, and it worked nicely as I had to rip back to it twice.
That is so exciting about your room renovation! Congrats on outgrowing your space!
Ha! I feel so much better now! Bad (but very cute) puppy. I'm glad you're getting a work room. It'll change your life - trust me!
Oh no Chewie baby!!! At least your Mom still loves you! :)
I think you outgrew the dining room ages ago girl ... glad to see the studio coming along! Its going to be one awesome space when its done! My living room is starting to looking like your dining room though... I did spend all day Saturday cleaning out and reorganizing a closet with loads of plastic bins of yarn... but really need that whole room. I'm working on it...
How heart breaking! I do wish you luck (and some quiet time to figure it out!)
Congrats on the studio. It looks like its coming along quite well!
Oh, man! Your poor shawl! I really hope you're able to fix it. What a horror show...I think I'd be crying.
Your new space is looking awesome. I bet you can't wait to get into it. With lots of room and no one to get in the way!
I feel your pain. My dog tends to get my yarn wrapped around her leg every time she walks through the living room. But then, I rarely knit lace...
Yay for a new workspace!
